Description

On vacation, Nina takes a trip with Grandma Dora.
Cabelinho goes along, of course.
They visit the sea!
It's Nina and Cabelinho's first time at the beach.
Nina is very curious... what's in the waves?

There are countless things we can't see or touch. Have you ever seen the depths of your hunger? And have you ever seen the depths of your love? An invisible universe surrounds us. But how can we appreciate the grandeur of what we can't see?

Nina and Cabelinho's new adventure echoes the name of the collection "Not everything that exists is visible to us," proposing a reflection on the visible and the invisible, which surround the small and great beauties of nature, and recapturing for the present a glimpse of the close relationship ancient peoples had with the beings of the forests, the waters, and the air.

A celebration of a universe that cannot be seen, but which can be felt with our fingertips: by touching the water; with the ear: listening to the songs of the sea; and with a gaze that grows to appreciate the vastness of nature.

Technique:
To create each scene in the book, the colored pencil drawings were cut out and pasted in layers. They were then photographed, presenting shadows and volume. The photographs were then edited to highlight the colors. The idea behind this laborious process is to transport the reader playfully into the story.
