Description

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action game based on the famous and award-winning series by director George Lucas.

Implementing signature Jedi attacks and highly realistic physics, the game tells a new story in the series, set between the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope.

It all begins with the player controlling Darth Vader, who travels to Kashyyyk with only one mission: to destroy an ancient Jedi, one of the last remaining Jedi from that era.

During the battle, however, Vader discovers the true source of the powerful Force he sensed: his adversary's young son. Without hesitation, the Sith kills the father and captures the child to begin intense training with him.

After a few years, the boy grows up and becomes a Sith. The player is then placed in the shoes of the apprentice of the villain Darth Vader, who essentially sends him to eliminate some of the few remaining Jedi in the universe, but who threaten the hegemony of the Empire.

But because his apprentice was hidden even from Emperor Palpatine, Vader orders the death of all crew members—allied with the Empire or not—because there can be no witnesses.

The main gameplay focus of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is on the protagonist's special powers. In addition to the classic lightsaber, the player can use the Force to push or pull opponents, as well as manipulate objects, such as their own lightsaber, disregarding the laws of gravity.

Furthermore, it features Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) technologies, developed by the Swiss company Pixelux Entertainment; Euphoria from the English company NaturalMotion; and the core Havok engine (Assassin's Creed, Halo 3), which are three physics simulators that strive for material and behavioral realism.
