Description

Nina and the Stinging Toe - Dompi - Giant Nature.

In a sunny garden,
with Cabelinho by her side,
Nina goes on an adventure
through giant nature!

On a sunny day, Nina decides to take a stroll through a garden that held a secret... It was alive!

This children's adventure awakens the appreciation for nature, showing that in small things lies greatness and that right there, in Nina's garden, incredible things happen.

Nina experiences, with her dog and friend Cabelinho, the thrill of stepping on wet grass and then faces the challenge of being alone with a stuck toe. But... in that moment of distress, the ladybug Julinha reminds Nina of someone very special: Dompi!

The adventure echoes the name of the new collection: Not everything that exists we see, proposing a reflection on the visible and the invisible, which surround the small and great beauties of nature, and recapturing for the present a glimpse of the close relationship ancient peoples had with the beings of the forests, the waters, and the air.

A childlike celebration of a universe that cannot be seen, but which can be felt with our fingertips: by touching mint; with our nose: by smelling the scent of rosemary; and with a gaze that grows to appreciate the vastness of nature.

Illustration technique:
The illustrations in this book were created using the cut-paper technique and finished on the computer. It all began like this: pastel and colored pencil illustrations were cut out and varnished so that the chalk dust would adhere to the paper.

Then they were assembled into scenes, like a true model. Then they were photographed, digitized, and finally edited to highlight shadows and colors. The team brought the characters to life and transformed the act of illustrating into a personal adventure.
